Pelowski busted paying rent, utilities with campaign money

DFL Rep. Gene Pelowski got dinged by the Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board, Brain Bakst reported on Twitter

Pelowski ordered to reimburse his campaign nearly $4,000 for apartment rental, furniture, utilities drawn from his campaign account. A $1,000 civil penalty assessed to campaign. Pelowski’s attorney says payments were “made in error.”

This reminded me of the time I reported that Pelowski used campaign funds to buy a $1,600 office chair. As I said at the time, Capitol wags were sending each other photos of the Iron Throne from “Game of Thrones.”
