Minnesota reports 745 new COVID-19 cases and 5 deaths

    More than 53,600 Minnesotans have tested positive for COVID-19 and 1,594 have died, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.

    The figures reported Thursday include 745 new cases and five deaths.

    Approximately 1,007,882 tests have been completed. As of 4 p.m. Wednesday, 298 Minnesotans were hospitalized with COVID-19, 141 of them in intensive care units.

    Of the 53,692 people who have tested positive, 46,965 no longer need to be isolated.
