More than 40,700 Minnesotans have tested positive for COVID-19 and 1,495 have died, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.
The figures reported Wednesday include 609 new cases and five deaths.
Approximately 725,825 tests have been completed, an increase of 19,204 from the day before. As of 4 p.m. Thursday, 227 Minnesotans were hospitalized with COVID-19, 124 of them in intensive care units.
Of the 40,767 people who have tested positive, 35,442 no longer need to be isolated.
