Minnesota reported 561 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and one death Monday, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.
A total of 479,591 Minnesotans have tested positive for COVID-19 and 6,433 have died.
After experiencing one of the nation’s worst outbreaks in late fall, Minnesota now has the nation’s 38th-fastest rate of case growth, with 13.6 new cases per 100,000 residents in the past week, according the Brown School of Public Health.
The number of Minnesotans who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 has surpassed the number who have tested positive for it. More than 759,000 Minnesotans — nearly 14% of the state’s population — have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 356,911 have received two doses.
