Minnesota reported 456 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 2 deaths Tuesday, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.

A total of 474,621 Minnesotans have tested positive for COVID-19 and 6,380 have died.

After experiencing one of the nation’s worst outbreaks in late fall, Minnesota now has the nation’s 45th-fastest rate of case growth, with roughly 14 new cases per 100,000 residents in the past week, according the Brown School of Public Health.

The number of Minnesotans who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 is now higher than the number who have tested positive for it. More than 686,000 Minnesotans — roughly 12% of the state’s population — have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 240,027 have received two doses.
