Minnesota reports 1,099 new COVID-19 cases and 8 deaths

More than 87,800 Minnesotans have tested positive for COVID-19 and 1,950 have died, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.

The figures reported Friday include 1,099 new cases and eight deaths.

Approximately 1,791,680 tests have been completed. As of 4 p.m. Thursday, 250 Minnesotans were hospitalized with COVID-19, 136 of them in intensive care units.

Of the 87,807 people who have tested positive, 80,221 no longer need to be isolated.
